~ Our Scholarship Program
Types of Support
KFFF will provide Scholarships to eligible children between five and 18 years of age to attend service providers who deal with children's health and physical fitness. KFFF Scholarships provide opportunities for these children to improve balance, coordination, cardiovascular endurance, kinesthetic awareness, and strength, gross and fine motor skills, sports skills, social skills, and self-esteem.
Our Service Providers
KFFF has surveyed and evaluated numerous providers that can offer the services that our Scholarships will cover. Based on this assessment KFFF presently has selected Fitness for Health (a unique organization that specializes in fitness for children with coordination, self-esteem, weight management issues, gross and fine motor delays, learning disabilities, ADHD/ADD, and other special needs) as its primary service provider. Fitness for Health is recognized throughout the Washington, DC area for innovative children's fitness programs. The staff includes certified athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, adaptive physical education instructors, and a licensed physical therapist. We also are developing a network of service providers who will offer complimentary services that will be covered by KFFF Scholarships in the future.
