ABOUT KIDS FEELING FIT FOUNDATION

The Kids Feeling Fit Foundation, Inc (KFFF) is a non profit organization founded in 2001, to provide scholarships for deserving families so that their children are able to participate in personalized exercise programs and improve their physical fitness and self esteem. Research has shown that life-long physical activity is important to the growth, development and well-being of everyone as it boosts health and self-esteem. Children with physical or emotional limitations greatly benefit from participation in activities that enable them to feel more comfortable among their peers and more easily integrated into organized and informal group recreational activities.

KFFF seeks to enrich and improve the quality of life of children and young adults by providing the necessary financial support to provide training to improve balance, coordination, cardiovascular endurance, kinesthetic awareness, strength, gross and fine motor skills, sports skills, social skills, speech-language skills and other skills that lead to increased self-esteem.

KFFF is devoted to making society aware of the positive impact fitness and confidence has on individuals and the community. By creating nurturing environments, young people can be guided to overcome physical and/or emotional limitations and grow into confident, capable, and caring adults.

The organization was founded by a group of parents from Montgomery County, Maryland who learned the value of therapeutic exercise for children facing developmental, emotional, and educational challenges through personal experience.

Our partners are recognized throughout the region for their innovative children's fitness programs and specialized services. Their talented and diverse staff include certified athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, adaptive physical education instructors, licensed physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists.
